Creating and sharing content on Tiktok is inexpensive, interactive and has a broad reach to a variety of demographics, making it an effective marketing option for businesses of all sizes.

What is TikTok and who is using it?

TikTok is a social media platform that allows users to create, share, and discover short-form videos. Launched in 2016, TikTok quickly gained popularity worldwide, particularly among younger audiences. In September 2021, the platform reached 1 billion active users.

The user demographic based on gender is relatively balanced, swaying slightly more towards women. In 2022, 57% of the active users were women. While many think TikTok is still for dancing teenagers, over the years the audience has levelled out, seeing an older audience jump on board. 36% of TikTok users were aged between 35 and 54 in 2021.

The app’s simplicity, ease of use, and emphasis on user creativity has contributed to its success, making TikTok a significant player in the social media landscape and an influential platform for content creators and businesses.

Story time content is an opportunity to give your audience a sneak-peak into you and your brand while sharing your brand’s values.
