Our approach
Why skin clinic marketing is different
A skin clinic doesn't make its money from one appointment. It makes it from the client who books a facial, commits to a course of skin needling, joins a membership and buys her serum from you instead of online. Most generic marketing is built to win the first booking and forget the rest.
Good skin clinic marketing does both. It brings in new clients who suit your treatments, then keeps them on a plan that works for their skin and your bottom line. And it does all that while staying within the advertising rules that apply to health and cosmetic treatments.

What holds you back
We hear the same things from skin clinic owners again and again:
Discount dependence. Specials fill the book for a week, then bookings drop and margins shrink. It trains clients to wait for the next deal.
One-and-done clients. New clients try a treatment once and never come back, because nothing prompts them to rebook or start a course.
An Instagram-only strategy. Social is great for trust, but when the algorithm changes, so does your booking calendar.
Invisible on Google. When someone searches "skin clinic near me" or "skin needling [suburb]", a competitor shows up in the map pack instead of you.
Retail sitting on the shelf. Cosmeceutical sales could be a steady revenue stream, but they're rarely marketed properly.
Uncertainty about the rules. You're not sure what you can say about results, whether you can share before-and-after photos, or how client reviews fit in. So you either play it too safe or take risks without realising
The approach
How we market skin clinics, channel by channel
Every channel has a specific job. Together, they bring in the right clients and keep them.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile
Most skin clinic clients search locally, often with a specific treatment in mind: "skin needling Noosa", "laser hair removal near me", "best facial Brisbane". We build treatment pages that answer those searches, optimise your Google Business Profile for the map pack, and build a steady, compliant reviews strategy. This is your long-term foundation, and it doesn't stop working when you pause ad spend.
Google Ads
Google Ads captures people ready to book now. We build campaigns around your highest-value treatments and courses, not just whatever's cheapest to advertise, and send traffic to landing pages built to convert. Every campaign is tracked through to actual bookings in Timely, Fresha or your booking system, so you know your real cost per client.
Instagram and Meta ads
Social is where clients decide whether they trust you. We create content that shows your expertise, your clinic and your approach to skin, and run Meta ads that introduce you to new local audiences. Everything is built to stay within the rules on images, claims and reviews.
Email, SMS and memberships
This is where most skin clinics leave money on the table. We set up automated flows that remind clients when they're due, move first-timers onto treatment plans, promote your membership and win back clients who've drifted. It's the most profitable channel you have, because you already own the relationship.

How we work with skin clinics
We're a boutique team that works with a small number of clinics, and every one is personally overseen by Lauren and our strategy team. Every partnership follows the same four phases.
Step 1
Diagnose
We audit your marketing, bookings data, competitors and compliance, and get clear on the treatments you want to grow.
Step 2
Strategise
We build a channel plan with defined targets, like new clients, rebooking rate, membership sign-ups and cost per client.
Step 3
Execute
We build and run your campaigns, content and email flows, all reviewed for compliance.
Step 4
Optimise
We report monthly in plain language, scale what's working and refine what isn't.
Compliance
Skin clinic advertising rules, in plain language
Which rules apply depends on who's performing the treatment and what you're selling. Here's how it breaks down for most skin clinics.
If your practitioners are AHPRA registered
If your clinic includes registered nurses or doctors, AHPRA's advertising guidelines apply to the services they provide. That means no testimonials about clinical outcomes, no misleading claims about results, and clear terms on any offers or discounts. If you also offer cosmetic injectables or other higher-risk procedures, stricter guidelines apply. See our cosmetic injector marketing page.
If your team are dermal or skin therapists
Even if you're not AHPRA registered, Australian Consumer Law still applies. Claims about results must be accurate and backed up, and "guaranteed" or "permanent" results are a red flag.
Before-and-after photos
Where you use them, images must be genuine, unedited, consistent in lighting and angle, and from your own clients, with their consent. Filters and retouching are out.
Product claims
Cosmetic skincare can claim to improve the look and feel of skin. It can't claim to treat or cure conditions like acne, rosacea or eczema, because those are therapeutic claims.
We build all of this into your strategy from day one, so your marketing is confident and compliant, rather than cautious and forgettable.
